KPK Questions Heri Black Over Container Seized at Tanjung Emas Port
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confirmed that the container seized at Tanjung Emas Port in Semarang was found during the investigation involving businessman Heri Setiyono, alias Heri Black, in connection with an alleged corruption case in imports handled by the Directorate General of Customs and Excise.
Heri Setiyono was questioned as a witness in the case on Monday, 18 May 2026.
“Besides that, the witness was questioned regarding the container found during the search at Tanjung Emas Port,” KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said in a statement on Tuesday, 19 May 2026.
Budi said investigators were also delving into Heri’s statements regarding notes found during a search at his home the previous week.
Meanwhile, Heri Black declined to speak much after being questioned by the KPK on Monday. When asked by reporters after the interview, he said he had merely attended the summons and complied with the law.
“I only attended the summons; I am a citizen who obeys the law, I simply attended,” Heri told reporters at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building on Monday afternoon.
“No, I am not affiliated with PT Blueray,” he added.
Earlier, the KPK had searched Heri Black’s residence in Semarang, Central Java, on Monday, 11 May 2026, during which the agency seized a number of notes and electronic evidence.
The KPK said that among the seized items, investigators obtained information about an attempt to obstruct the ongoing investigation. “This could be considered or fall under obstruction of the investigation, whether directly or indirectly,” Budi said.
