The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has questioned businessman Heri Setiyono, alias Heri Black, as a witness in relation to the alleged corruption case involving goods importation within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) of the Ministry of Finance.

According to gathered information, Heri Black attended the KPK summons at the Merah Putih Building in Jakarta at 09:04 WIB. “Today, investigators have also rescheduled the examination of HS, a private sector employee, regarding the customs and excise case,” stated KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in a statement on Monday (1<0xE2><0x80><0xAF> May 2026).

Previously, the KPK conducted a search of Heri Black’s residence in Semarang, Central Java, on Monday (11 May 2026). Heri is suspected of being affiliated with PT Blueray, a company whose owner is a suspect in this Customs and Excise bribery case. Budi noted that the KPK seized several records and electronic evidence during the search of Heri Black’s home.

“There is information obtained regarding attempts at conditioning by external parties in the process of handling the customs and excise case at the KPK,” said Budi. He added that such actions could be categorised as direct or indirect attempts to obstruct the investigation. “Therefore, investigators will certainly consider whether these actions constitute elements of obstruction of justice or not.”

Initially, there were six suspects in this case, including the Director of Enforcement and Investigation (P2) of the DJBC for the 2024-2026 period, Rizal; the Head of the Intelligence Sub-directorate of P2 DJBC, Sisprian Subiaksono; the Intelligence Section Head of DJBC, Orlando Hamonangan; the owner of PT Blueray, John Field; the Import Documentation Team Leader of PT Blueray, Andri; and the Operational Manager of PT Blueray, Dedy Kurniawan. Most recently, the KPK has named the Head of the Excise Intelligence Section for Enforcement and Investigation (P2) of the DJBC, Budiman Bayu Prasojo, as a suspect.
