KPK Questions BPK Member Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi Over Muara Enim Audit Bribery

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is continuing its investigation into an alleged bribery case involving the conditioning of audit results by the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK) in Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra. On Thursday (16/7), investigators questioned BPK Member V, Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi, as a witness for suspect Augusz Dewanggara.

KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo explained that the questioning of Bobby focused on the role of AG, a private party suspected of having special access within the BPK. AG is alleged to have been able to control the arrangement of the audit examination for the Muara Enim region.

“Investigators confirmed matters relating to the private party, Mr AG, who was then able to have access or control in the alleged arrangement of the audit examination at the BPK for the Muara Enim region,” Budi stated at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta.

In addition to investigating AG’s role, investigators also probed Bobby’s knowledge of the mechanism for arranging audit findings. This corrupt practice is suspected of aiming to change the opinion of the Muara Enim Regency Government’s financial report from Qualified Opinion to Unqualified Opinion.

This examination is also a follow-up to a search conducted by investigators at Bobby’s residence on 13-14 July 2026. From the search, the KPK seized a number of electronic evidence items which have been extracted to strengthen the construction of the case.

After undergoing approximately nine hours of questioning, Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi stated his commitment to being cooperative. “Everything has been conveyed to the investigators and we fully support this process so that it can be completed quickly,” said the former member of the Indonesian House of Representatives.

This case has come under scrutiny because it involves a private party, Augusz Dewanggara, who allegedly had significant influence in arranging the examination results of a state institution like the BPK. AG himself is said to have once had a professional relationship with Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi as an expert staff member.

To date, the KPK is still gathering witness statements and electronic evidence to fully uncover the bribery scandal involving regional officials and individuals within the state financial auditor.
