KPK Questions Acting Head of the Department of Public Works and Construction and Chairman of the KPU of Central Lampung Regarding the Corruption Case of Regent Ardito Wijaya
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned the Acting Head of the Department of Public Works and Construction (BMBK) of Central Lampung Regency, Elvita Maylani (EM), and the Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) of Central Lampung, Gunarto (GUN), as witnesses in the alleged corruption case involving the inactive Regent of Central Lampung, Ardito Wijaya (AW).
“The examination took place at the KPK’s Red and White Building, involving EM as the Acting Head of the BMBK of Central Lampung, and GUN as the Chairman of the KPU of Central Lampung,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta, Thursday (26/2).
In addition, Budi said that the KPK also summoned two private individuals with the initials ERS and WR as witnesses in the case.
Previously, the KPK conducted a sting operation (OTT) on December 9-10, 2025, and secured five people.
On December 11, 2025, the KPK announced the five individuals as suspects, namely the Regent of Central Lampung, Ardito Wijaya (AW), a member of the Central Lampung DPRD, Riki Hendra Saputra (RHS), the younger brother of the Regent of Central Lampung who is also the Chairman of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of Central Lampung, Ranu Hari Prasetyo (RNP), the Acting Head of the Regional Revenue Agency of Central Lampung who is also a close relative of Ardito Wijaya, Anton Wibowo (ANW), and the Director of PT Elkaka Putra Mandiri, Mohamad Lukman Sjamsuri (MLS).
The five individuals are suspected of receiving gifts or promises related to the procurement of goods and services, as well as other receipts in the Central Lampung Regency government in the 2025 fiscal year.
The KPK suspects that Ardito Wijaya received Rp5.75 billion in connection with the case, and used Rp5.25 billion to pay off bank loans for campaign needs during the 2024 Regional Elections. (Ant/P-3)
