KPK Probes Payment of Funds from Private Company to PN Depok Parties

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is delving into the provision of a sum of money given by PT Karabha Digdaya to parties at the Depok District Court (PN Depok).

The KPK explored this matter during the examination of Joko Prihanto, the Commissioner of PT Karabha Digdaya, as a witness in the suspected bribery case concerning the management of a land dispute at PN Depok on Wednesday (13/5/2026).

“Witness JKP was questioned about his knowledge as Commissioner regarding expenditures by PT KRB, particularly payments to parties at PN Depok,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in his statement on Thursday (14/5/2026).

“The witness did not attend. Investigators will coordinate and consider rescheduling,” he added.

Previously, the KPK had named five individuals as suspects in the bribery case for the execution of land clearance at PN Depok.

They are the Chief of PN Depok I Wayan Eka Mariarta, Deputy Chief of PN Depok Bambang Setyawan, bailiff at PN Depok Yohansyah Maruanaya, President Director of PT Karabha Digdaya Trisnadi, and Head of Corporate Legal at PT Karabha Digdaya Berliana Tri Kusuma.

Wayan, Bambang, and Yohansyah are suspected of receiving bribes from Trisnadi and Berliana in the case.

The decision was subsequently upheld through appeals and cassation.

Subsequently, in January 2025, PT Karabha Digdaya filed an application for the execution of land clearance with PN Depok based on that decision, but the execution was not carried out until February 2025.

PT Karabha Digdaya then repeatedly submitted execution requests because the land was soon to be utilised, while the community also filed a review of the decision.

In that situation, I Wayan Eka Mariarta and Bambang Setyawan asked Yohansyah Maruanaya to act as a “one-stop” intermediary bridging the needs of PT Karabha Digdaya with PN Depok.

The KPK stated that Yohansyah was asked by Wayan and Bambang to demand a fee of Rp 1 billion from PT Karabha Digdaya to expedite the land execution.
