Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is delving into the conditioning of outsourcing worker placements by PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya within the Pekalongan Regency government in connection with the alleged corruption case involving inactive Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq.

“This is still being explored regarding the process and mechanism. Whether it also complies with the specifications needed by the agencies? Because, of course, every procurement has specifications that are required,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Budi stated that one of the KPK’s methods to investigate this matter is by examining several outsourcing workers as witnesses on 23 April 2026.

On that date, the KPK summoned 55 witnesses who are outsourcing workers at the Pekalongan Regency Transportation Agency, Pekalongan Regency Civil Service Police Unit and Fire Department, Pekalongan Regency Education and Culture Agency, Pekalongan Regency Communication and Informatics Agency, and Pekalongan Regency Youth, Sports, and Tourism Agency.

Additionally, outsourcing workers at the Pekalongan Regency Regional Secretariat, Pekalongan Regency Social Agency, Kraton Pekalongan Regional General Hospital, and Kajen Pekalongan Regional General Hospital.

Previously, on 3 March 2026, the KPK arrested Fadia Arafiq along with her aide and trusted associate in the Semarang area, Central Java. In addition, the KPK arrested 11 other individuals in Pekalongan, Central Java.

The series of arrests was part of the KPK’s seventh hand-catching operation (OTT) in 2026, coinciding with Ramadan 1447 Hijriah.

The KPK suspects Fadia Arafiq of involvement in a conflict of interest by enabling her family’s company, PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya (RNB), to win several procurements within the Pekalongan Regency government.

Fadia Arafiq and her family are said to have received Rp19 billion from those procurement contracts. Broken down as Rp13.7 billion purely enjoyed by the singer of the song Cik Cik Bum Bum and her family, Rp2.3 billion distributed to the Director of PT RNB who is also an ART named Rul Bayatun, and Rp3 billion from cash withdrawals that have not yet been distributed.
