KPK Probes Maidi's Receipt of Money as It Questions Deputy Speaker of Madiun Regency DPRD
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is examining the alleged receipt of funds by the non-active Mayor of Madiun, Maidi, as it questioned Deputy Speaker of the Madiun Regency DPRD Ali Masngudi and seven other witnesses on 5 March 2026, KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told reporters in Jakarta on Friday. The witnesses were asked to provide statements about the alleged practice of receiving CSR funds by the Mayor. The agency is also probing the witnesses’ knowledge of licences issued within the Madiun City Government, East Java.
The seven other witnesses were: Head of the Investment and One-Stop Services Office, Sumarni; Head of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency, Sudandi; MAR and FID as civil servants of the DPMPTSP Kota Madiun; DS and KN as aides to the Mayor; AFN as an ASN of the Environment Department in Madiun.
Earlier, on 19 January 2026, KPK conducted an arrest operation (OTT) against Maidi. On the same date, KPK disclosed OTT against Maidi related to project-related remuneration and CSR funds in Madiun. On 20 January 2026, KPK announced three people had been named as suspects after the OTT: Mayor Maidi (MD), Rochim Ruhdiyanto (RR) as Maidi’s confidant, and Head of Public Works and Spatial Planning of Madiun Thariq Megah (TM).
KPK also announced there were two clusters in the case of alleged extortion with the modus operandi of project remuneration and CSR funds, and other gratuities in the Madiun City Government. The first cluster concerns extortion with suspects Maidi and Rochim Ruhdiyanto. The second cluster concerns gratification with suspects Maidi and Thariq Megah.
