KPK Probes Communication Between BPK Members Bobby and Angga Over Muara Enim Audit Bribery
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is delving into the relationship between BPK Board V member Bobby Rizaldi and suspect Angga in a bribery case implicating suspended Muara Enim Regent Edison. According to the KPK, the two communicated with the Muara Enim Regency Government to orchestrate the outcome of a BPK audit.
“This is certainly one of the entry points for the KPK to investigate further. Why did AG, despite being a private party, allegedly have access and the authority to arrange, set up and consolidate parties within the BPK in conducting the audit at the Muara Enim Regency Government? That is why testimony from witnesses is needed by investigators to clarify these matters,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK’s Red and White Building in South Jakarta on Wednesday (15/7/2026).
Budi explained that the BPK initially issued a qualified opinion (WDP) on the Muara Enim Regency Government’s financial statements. This opinion was then allegedly changed to an unqualified opinion (WTP), arranged by insiders at the BPK.
“So in the case of the Muara Enim Regency Government, it began with a qualified opinion. Then there is an allegation that the findings were manipulated, with several items reportedly altered by the audit team, after which it changed to an unqualified opinion,” Budi explained.
For this reason, Budi said investigators are probing the examination mechanism that was carried out and how it produced the opinion.
“The investigation into this case will continue. Other witnesses are still needed to be examined by investigators to complete testimony and additional evidence required to uncover this case,” he said.
“The parties who have been named suspects include the Muara Enim Regent as the alleged bribe giver, TTN from the BPK as an alleged giver, and AG, who is a private party,” he continued.
KPK raids Bobby’s house
Previously, the KPK raided Bobby’s house. Investigators secured several pieces of evidence during the search.
“That is correct. Today investigators conducted a search at the home of Mr BB, located in the Jakarta area. During the search, investigators secured several items of electronic evidence,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in a written statement on Tuesday (14/7).
Budi said the seized electronic evidence would be extracted for further information gathering. He said the search was linked to the bribery case implicating suspended Muara Enim Regent Edison.
“In principle, the search was conducted to gather additional evidence required in the investigation of the case concerning alleged bribery in the BPK audit of the Muara Enim Regency Government,” he said.
Edison was arrested by the KPK in a sting operation on Monday (8/6), and was named a suspect on Tuesday (9/6).
In addition to Edison, the KPK named three other suspects following the sting operation:

Abi Nurwardani, Secretary of the Education and Culture Office in 2026
Adi Triyadi, the Regent’s nephew
Cory Erin Hardi, marketing officer of PT Millenium Solusi Abadi
The KPK suspects Edison received Rp 500 million in bribes from Cory, allegedly channelled through Abi Nurwardani.
The bribe was allegedly money to maintain a ‘good relationship’ because PT MSA, as a smart board supplier, had won a procurement project from the Muara Enim Regency Government in 2025. In addition, Abi reportedly received payments from other business partners of the regency government. The KPK has seized around Rp 1.9 billion in connection with the case.
On Wednesday (10/6), the KPK conducted a sting operation against five BPK civil servants. The KPK stated the operation was still related to alleged bribery at the Muara Enim Regency Government. The KPK suspects the Muara Enim Regent bribed BPK officials over findings in the smart board procurement.
The KPK subsequently named five suspects in the second alleged bribery case involving payments from Edison’s side to BPK officials. The KPK revealed that BPK officials requested Rp 1.6 billion to alter the audit results.
