KPK probes BPK member Bobby Rizaldi on Augusz Dewanggara's role in audit rigging

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is probing the knowledge of Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) member V Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi concerning suspect Augusz Dewanggara, who is implicated in an alleged bribery case involving the conditioning of BPK audit results in Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra. “Investigators confirmed matters relating to the private party, Mr AG, who allegedly gained access or control in the suspected arrangement of the BPK audit examination for the Muara Enim area,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta on Thursday. Budi added that the KPK examined Bobby as a witness in the case to explore his knowledge regarding the alleged manipulation of the BPK audit in Muara Enim. “Investigators delved into the witness’s knowledge concerning the alleged arrangement of audit findings by the BPK in Muara Enim Regency, which subsequently influenced the audit opinion from WDP (qualified opinion) to WTP (unqualified opinion) for the Muara Enim Regency Government,” he stated. He also noted that the KPK questioned the former member of the Indonesian House of Representatives regarding a search conducted at his residence on 13-14 July 2026. “A search was previously conducted at Mr BB’s residence, and investigators secured several electronic pieces of evidence which have certainly been extracted to strengthen information or testimony to bring this case to light,” he said. On a separate occasion, Bobby admitted he had conveyed all matters to KPK investigators during Thursday’s examination. “Everything has been conveyed to the investigators, and we fully support this process so it can be resolved quickly,” Bobby said after spending from 09:55 WIB until 19:13 WIB at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta on Thursday. The KPK had previously conducted a sting operation on 7-8 June 2026, arresting 10 individuals, five in Jakarta and five in South Sumatra. Among those detained in the KPK’s 12th sting operation of 2026 was Muara Enim Regent Edison. On 9 June 2026, the KPK named four suspects in a bribery case related to the procurement of goods and services and other receipts within the Muara Enim Regency Government for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. The suspects are Edison, Muara Enim Education and Culture Agency Secretary Abi Nurwardani, PT Millenium Solusi Abadi marketing employee Cory Erin Hardi, and Adi Triyadi, who is Edison’s nephew. The KPK then conducted a follow-up sting operation on 10 June 2026, arresting five BPK civil servants, marking the KPK’s 13th sting operation of 2026. On 11 June 2026, the KPK named five suspects in the alleged bribery case involving the conditioning of the BPK audit of the Muara Enim Regency Government for the 2025 fiscal year. The suspects are Edison, Cory Erin Hardi, PT Millenium Solusi Abadi Director Fika Nur Alawi, private party Augusz Dewanggara who allegedly once served as an expert staff member to Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi, and BPK civil servant Titin Rita Lestari, who previously served as Head of the BPK Audit Team for the South Sumatra Representative Office. The KPK searched Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi’s residence on 13-14 July 2026 and seized a number of electronic items as evidence.
