KPK Probes Allegations of Fadia Arafiq's Intervention in Procurement
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is delving into allegations of intervention by Fadia Arafiq (FAR) during her tenure as Regent of Pekalongan in the procurement of goods and services within the Pekalongan Regency Government, Central Java. KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo explained this while discussing the summons of several civil servants as witnesses this week. “The examination in Pekalongan relates to allegations of orders or interventions by the Regent to ensure that these agencies awarded contracts to the company owned by FAR’s sibling in outsourcing procurements across several agencies under the Regency Government,” Budi told journalists in Jakarta on Friday. “So, since there are many agencies involved, we want to examine each one individually that used the Regent’s company to supply needs, particularly related to outsourcing in each of those agencies,” he added. Previously, on 3 March 2026, the KPK arrested Fadia Arafiq along with her aide and trusted associate in the Semarang area, Central Java. Additionally, the KPK secured 11 other individuals in Pekalongan, Central Java. This series of arrests was part of the KPK’s seventh hand-catching operation (OTT) in 2026, coinciding with the month of Ramadan 1447 Hijriah. The KPK stated that Fadia Arafiq is suspected of involvement in a conflict of interest by having her family’s company, PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya (RNB), win several procurements within the Pekalongan Regency Government. Fadia Arafiq and her family are said to have received Rp19 billion from these procurement contracts. The breakdown includes Rp13.7 billion purely enjoyed by the singer of the song Cik Cik Bum Bum and her family, Rp2.3 billion shared with the Director of PT RNB who is also an ART named Rul Bayatun, and Rp3 billion from cash withdrawals that have not yet been distributed.
