KPK Permits Judicial Commission to Examine Ethics of Two Depok District Court Judges in Bribery Case
The Anti-Corruption Commission (KPK) has permitted the Judicial Commission (KY) to conduct ethics examinations of two Depok District Court judges—Chief Judge I Wayan Eka Mariarta (currently on non-active status) and Deputy Chief Judge Bambang Setyawan (also on non-active status). The examination took place at KPK headquarters.
“Regarding the Judicial Commission’s examination of the Chief and Deputy Chief Judges of Depok District Court who have been named as suspects by the KPK in an alleged corruption offence related to land dispute execution, the KPK regards this step as part of inter-agency synergy in ensuring accountability and integrity of law enforcement officials,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists on Friday (13 March 2026).
Budi stated this step represents a collaborative effort to ensure the case handling process proceeds well from both criminal and ethics perspectives. He said the KPK will also engage the Judicial Commission to prevent future corruption cases in the judicial sector.
“Going forward, the KPK will certainly continue to coordinate and work in synergy with the Judicial Commission in supporting the ongoing case handling process, whilst also strengthening anti-corruption efforts in the judicial sector,” Budi explained.
“This synergy forms part of a shared commitment to ensure a clean and integrity-driven judicial system capable of maintaining public trust,” he added.
The case originated from a KPK sting operation (OTT). The KPK subsequently named Depok District Court Chief Judge I Wayan Eka Mariarta (currently non-active), Deputy Chief Judge Bambang Setyawan (also non-active), and court bailiff Yohansyah as suspects in a bribery case concerning land dispute proceedings. They were arrested during a sting operation that involved a chase.
The following is a list of the suspects:
I Wayan Eka Mariarta (EKA) as Chief Judge of Depok District Court
Bambang Setyawan (BBG) as Deputy Chief Judge of Depok District Court
Yohansyah Maruanaya (YOH) as Court Bailiff at Depok District Court
Trisnadi Yulrisman (TRI) as Chief Executive Director of PT KD
Berliana Tri Ikusuma (BER) as Head of Corporate Legal at PT KD
Eka and Bambang are suspected of demanding a fee of 1 billion rupiah for case handling. Apart from the alleged bribery case, Bambang faces an additional charge of alleged gratification. He is suspected of receiving gratification derived from foreign exchange conversion deposits worth 2.5 billion rupiah from PT DMV during the 2025-2026 period.
