KPK: Pekalongan Regent Fadia Threatens to Fire Outsourcing Staff Who Didn't Vote for Her in Local Election
The KPK has revealed that former Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq (FAR) attempted to have her company’s outsourcing staff vote for her in the local election. The KPK stated that Fadia also threatened to dismiss outsourcing staff who did not vote for her during the election.
KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told journalists on Friday, 29 June 2026: ‘The outsourcing staff would be terminated or replaced if they did not support FAR in the election contest. This indicates a suspected mobilisation of outsourcing staff during the Pekalongan election.’
Budi added that Fadia also conditioned which outsourcing staff would be placed in Pekalongan government departments, ensuring her company PT RNB won the outsourcing tender.
‘In addition to ensuring PT RNB wins the outsourcing tender, FAR is also suspected of arranging which personnel would be assigned as outsourcing staff across various regional government departments,’ he said.
FAR allegedly issued the directive to vote for her either directly or via intermediaries, with Budi stating it was done verbally.
The case involves conflicts of interest in procurement and other receipts at the Pekalongan Regional Government. Departments seeking procurement were instructed to set their own estimated prices (HPS) so that the estimated prices could be adjusted to favour PT RNB’s victory.
In this case, the KPK suspects Fadia ordered regional officials to secure her company’s victory in the outsourcing tender. Her family’s company allegedly received Rp46 billion between 2023 and 2026, which was subsequently distributed as follows: Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq: Rp5.5 billion; her husband Ashraff: Rp1.1 billion; PT RNB Director Rul Bayatun: Rp2.3 billion; Fadia’s child Sabiq: Rp4.6 billion; Fadia’s child Mehnaz Na: Rp2.5 billion; and a cash withdrawal of Rp3 billion.
Fadia has now been named a suspect and detained by the KPK. She faces charges under Article 12 letter i and Article 12B of the Corruption Eradication Law, in conjunction with Article 127(1) of Law No. 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code.
The KPK has seized vehicles from multiple parties at Fadia Arafiq’s official residence in Cibubur, including a Wuling Air EV, Mitsubishi Xpander, Toyota Camry, Toyota Fortuner, and Toyota Vellfire.
