KPK Partners with Miss Indonesia 2026 Finalists to Combat Corruption
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is partnering with the finalists of Putri Indonesia 2026 to strengthen anti-corruption prevention efforts through integrity education.
This collaboration is considered strategic because Putri Indonesia has broad influence as public figures, especially among the younger generation.
Through educational channels, KPK aims to build public awareness to eliminate the intention to commit corruption.
“Corruption eradication is carried out through education, prevention, and enforcement. Education is important so that the public does not want to commit corruption from the outset,” said Ibnu during the briefing session for the Putri Indonesia 2026 finalists on Thursday (9/4/2026).
Anti-corruption messages delivered by public figures are deemed more easily accepted, particularly by students and the younger generation.
The finalists come from various regions across Indonesia, thus having great potential to instil anti-corruption values in their respective communities.
“Putri Indonesia contestants come from various provinces in Indonesia, from Sabang to Merauke, so they have great potential to inspire the public in embedding integrity and anti-corruption values,” said Ida.
She explained that the Putri Indonesia Foundation has five main pillars: Brain, Beauty, Behaviour, Brave, and Be Right.
The values of Brave and Be Right are seen as aligned with the integrity spirit promoted by KPK.
“KPK has programmes such as Anti-Corruption Districts/Cities, Anti-Corruption Villages, and integrity-based families. The Putri Indonesia finalists have the potential to participate in disseminating integrity values in society,” she said.
Through this synergy, KPK hopes that anti-corruption prevention messages can reach a wider audience and build a culture of integrity from an early age, so that corruption eradication efforts do not solely rely on enforcement but also on public awareness.
