KPK Opens In-Person Family Visit Service for Idul Fitri 2026, Limited to 3 Hours
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is providing opportunities for detainees, including former Minister of Religious Affairs Yaqut Cholil Qoumas (YCQ), to celebrate Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah with their families. This in-person visit facility is scheduled for Saturday, 21 March 2026.
Although access to meet relatives is granted, KPK is limiting the duration of the open house to just three hours.
“KPK is also giving detainees the opportunity to meet and interact face-to-face with family and relatives from 10:00 WIB to 13:00 WIB,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in a written statement on Friday (20/3).
Budi stated that detainees are permitted to receive home-cooked food from relatives and family before the meeting takes place. The delivered food is provided at a separate time from the visit.
This time limit follows applicable regulations. Religious visits are a right for suspects during the investigation process.
“This special service is certainly a manifestation of KPK’s commitment to upholding the principle of human rights, ensuring that every detainee still obtains their basic rights, including in carrying out worship according to their beliefs,” Budi said.
