KPK on examination of Fadia Arafiq's husband and child: Just wait

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has stated that the examination of the husband and child of suspended Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq, who were previously mentioned as recipients of funds in the alleged corruption case, is simply a matter of time. “This is just a waiting game—when and who will be called,” said KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Asep Guntur Rahayu at the KPK’s Red and White Building in Jakarta on Monday (30/3). Asep stated that the KPK will inform the public about who will be summoned in the investigation of the Fadia Arafiq case, including the timing of the summonses. “We’ll let you know later,” he said. Previously, on 3 March 2026, the KPK arrested Fadia Arafiq along with her aide and a trusted associate in the Semarang area, Central Java. Subsequently, the KPK announced the arrest of 11 other individuals from Pekalongan, Central Java. On 4 March 2026, the KPK designated Fadia Arafiq as the sole suspect in the alleged corruption case related to the procurement of outsourcing services or contract labour, and other procurements within the Pekalongan Regency Government for the fiscal years 2023-2026. The KPK stated that Fadia Arafiq is suspected of involvement in conflicts of interest by establishing a family-owned company, PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya (RNB), which won several procurements within the Pekalongan Regency Government. Fadia Arafiq and her family are said to have received Rp19 billion from those procurement contracts. This breaks down to Rp13.7 billion purely enjoyed by the singer of the song Cik Cik Bum Bum and her family, Rp2.3 billion distributed to the Director of PT RNB who is also a household assistant named Rul Bayatun, and Rp3 billion from cash withdrawals that have not yet been distributed.
