KPK: Nusron Wahid Had Not Attended Questioning by Midday
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Minister Nusron Wahid had not appeared in response to its summons by midday on Thursday (15 December).
Nusron was due to be questioned as a witness to help complete the case files for suspects being prosecuted over alleged extortion in the processing of building-use rights (HGB) and other receipts within the ATR/BPN Ministry.
“Correct, the questioning of Mr NW is still scheduled for today as part of the continued investigation into alleged corruption at the ATR/BPN Ministry. As of this afternoon, he has not appeared,” KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo told reporters on Thursday (15 December).
He said KPK investigators were still waiting for Nusron to arrive at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building.
Budi said investigators had received no confirmation by midday, either that Nusron would attend or that he would be absent.
“Therefore, we believe the witness will attend the rescheduled questioning today,” he said.
This was the second summons issued to Nusron. He did not attend the summons for questioning the previous week.
The KPK has named eight people as suspects in an alleged bribery case related to the processing of HGB for PT Summarecon Agung Tbk and other receipts within the ATR/BPN Ministry.
They are Sontang Coin Manurung, head of the Bogor Regency Land Office I; Golkar Party politician Fahd El Fouz, also known as Fahd A Rafiq; former Kebumen Regent Arif Sugiyanto; and PT Summarecon Agung Tbk president director Adrianto Pitojo Adhi.
The four other suspects are Lampri, director general of land and spatial planning control and enforcement at the ATR/BPN Ministry, as well as Muhammad Fakhry, Erwin and Rizal Pahlevi.
The KPK has described Arif, Fahd, Erwin and Muhammad Fakhry as people trusted by Nusron Wahid.
