KPK Not Giving Up! Harun Masiku Still Being Pursued

Investigators are still actively searching for HM, the KPK’s wanted suspect, said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the Merah Putih Building of the KPK in South Jakarta on Tuesday (11/5/2026). Budi then explained that the KPK has also collaborated with various parties in efforts to find Harun Masiku, including cooperation with entities abroad. “In searching for a wanted suspect, the KPK is not acting alone, but we are coordinating with law enforcement agencies in Indonesia or with entities abroad to provide information if they know of his whereabouts,” Budi clarified. “So that we can immediately follow up if HM is indeed found in his hiding place,” he added. Previously, the KPK also emphasised that it would continue searching for Harun Masiku’s whereabouts after PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto received amnesty. The search for Harun will not be impacted. “If there is a legal impact, we are still examining it; otherwise, there is none. We will still pursue Harun Masiku, we will find him, we will bring him to another trial,” said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu at the KPK building in Jakarta on Friday (1/8/2025). “The pursuit of Harun Masiku is underway,” he stated.
