The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq (FAR) as a suspect after she was caught in an arrest operation (OTT). FAR is accused of involvement in corruption relating to the procurement of outsourcing services and other procurements within the Pekalongan Regency Government.

“The KPK has raised this matter to the investigation phase by naming one suspect, namely Ms FAR as Pekalongan Regent for the 2025-2030 term,” said Asep Guntur Rahayu, Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK, at a press conference at the KPK building in South Jakarta on Wednesday (4 March 2026).

Asep said FAR will be detained for 20 days at the KPK’s Gedung Merah Putih branch detention centre for further questioning. The detention will be for the first 20 days from 4 to 23 March 2026. Detention is to be carried out at the state detention centre (Rutan) of the Gedung Merah Putih KPK branch.

Fadia is accused of having committed acts of corruption as regulated in Article 12(i) and Article 12(B) of Law No. 31 of 1999 on the Eradication of Corruption as amended by Law No. 20 of 2001 on Amendments to Law No. 31 of 1999, and in conjunction with Article 127(1) of Law No. 1 of 2023 on the Indonesian Penal Code (KUHP).

Earlier, the KPK had detained Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq after she was caught in an arrest operation (OTT). The KPK has now formally detained Fadia.

Detikcom observed at the KPK building in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (4 March 2026) that Fadia had completed her examination at 12:00 WIB. She was wearing an orange detainee vest.

Fadia was subsequently escorted to a detention vehicle by KPK officers. She claimed she had not undergone an OTT.

“I did not undergo an OTT. I did not have anything taken, and at the time of my arrest, did they raid my house?” she said.
