The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named four people as suspects in a case of alleged bribery related to Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) findings on several procurements within the Muara Enim Regency Government. Based on observations at the KPK’s Red and White Building in South Jakarta, the suspects were already wearing the orange vests typical of KPK detainees, with their hands cuffed. They were escorted by detention guards to the KPK State Detention Centre. The detention will be carried out for an initial 20 days. The four suspects are Edison, the Regent of Muara Enim; Abi Nurwardani, Secretary of the Education and Culture Office for the year 2026; Titin, a BPK civil servant; and a private party named Angga. The latter is allegedly a confidant of BPK Member V, initialled BAR. Edison and Abi are already serving detention for a previous case. When confirmed, only Titin commented while being taken to the detention centre, while Angga remained silent. ‘I did not receive any money. This is unfair. I was only an executor,’ Titin said. ‘My superiors are in a hierarchy,’ Titin continued when asked who else in the BPK was suspected of receiving money. The KPK will hold a press conference on Thursday afternoon (11/6) to deliver the chronology of the sting operation and the full construction of this case. Previously, the KPK arrested five BPK civil servants in a sting operation in Jakarta on 9 and 10 June 2026. The KPK has not yet revealed the detailed identities of these parties. The silent operation was linked to an alleged bribery offence over BPK findings on a number of procurements in the Muara Enim Regency Government, South Sumatra Province. ‘The alleged giving (of bribes) is related to BPK findings in procurements, one of which is the Smart TV that we have explained earlier in the construction of the Muara Enim case,’ said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at his office in Jakarta on Wednesday (10/6). ‘We will continue to investigate this further from the parties secured in this sting operation,’ he continued. The five BPK civil servants underwent examination at the KPK until Wednesday evening (10/6). A press conference regarding this sting event is planned to be delivered by the KPK today. Previously, the KPK first conducted a sting operation in Jakarta and South Sumatra on 6-8 June 2026 over alleged bribery in the procurement of goods and services and gratuity receipt for the 2025-2026 fiscal year within the Muara Enim Regency Government. Of the 10 people arrested, four were named as suspects. They are Muara Enim Regent Edison; Secretary of the Education and Culture Office for 2026, Abi Nurwardani; the regent’s confidant, Adi Triyadi; and a private party from PT Millenium Solusi Abadi (PT MSA), Cory Erin Hardi. They have been detained for the first 20 days starting from 9 June to 28 June 2026.
