Budi previously disclosed that investigators also seized cash amounting to hundreds of millions of rupiah. The money is suspected to be part of a project fee received by Langkat Regent Syah Afandin from a private party. He added that during the sting, the team also secured evidence including cash totalling hundreds of millions of rupiah, which is suspected to be part of a project fee. Budi further explained that the regent’s arrest was made at his private residence in Medan. Syah Afandin is scheduled to be brought to Jakarta this afternoon for further examination.
