KPK Issues SP3 for Deceased Corruption Suspect Siman Bahar in China
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has issued a Termination of Investigation Order (SP3) for the President Director of PT Loco Montrado and suspect in the alleged corruption case of metal anode processing, Siman Bahar, who has passed away in China.
“The SP3 was issued after investigators received an official death certificate stating that my brother Siman Bahar has passed away,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in his statement on Saturday (25/4/2026).
On 23 April 2026, the KPK issued the Termination of Investigation Order (SP3) for suspect Siman Bahar.
Previously reported, Siman Bahar passed away on Monday (13/4/2026).
The KPK re-announced the naming of Siman Bahar as a suspect on Monday (5/6/2023).
Kompas.com note: During the investigation process, the KPK never detained Siman due to health reasons.
Nevertheless, examinations continued in the hospital.
In August 2025, the KPK named Siman Bahar’s company, PT Loco Montrado, as a corporate suspect in the alleged metal anode processing corruption case with PT Antam Tbk.
“The KPK has named PT LCM as a corporate suspect,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in his statement on Tuesday (14/10/2025).
This case is alleged to have caused state financial losses of up to Rp 100.7 billion.
