KPK Involves BPKP in Rudy Tanoe Examination to Calculate State Losses

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) examined PT Dosni Roha Logistik’s President Commissioner, Bambang Rudijanto Tanoesoedibjo, also known as Rudy Tanoe, on Tuesday (11/8/2026) in connection with the alleged corruption case involving the transportation of social assistance (bansos) in 2020. The KPK involved the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) in this examination to calculate the state losses incurred in the case.

KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated at the KPK building in Kuningan, Jakarta, that the examination was conducted by investigators together with BPKP auditors for the purpose of calculating state financial losses resulting from alleged unlawful acts by the parties in the procurement process for the distribution of rice social assistance. The examination also delved into the mechanism for distributing the rice aid. Budi explained that according to the contract, the assistance was supposed to arrive directly at the recipients’ locations.

He noted that the distribution carried out by the distributors and vendors did not reach the recipients but only went as far as the sub-district offices. Budi mentioned there was a deviation from the agreed contract because the aid did not go directly to the recipients. The examination also looked into the contract value and the reasonable costs that should have been incurred in the distribution process, as these are necessary for calculating state financial losses.

Rudy Tanoe finished his examination at around 2:31 PM Western Indonesian Time after being questioned for over four hours since 10:00 AM. Following the examination, Rudy was reluctant to speak at length, asking that questions about the examination material be directed to his legal team. He stated he was summoned as a witness for other suspects and had no further comments.

Rudy Tanoe has been named a suspect in this case. The KPK previously announced five new suspects in the alleged corruption case involving the distribution of social assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs in 2020, consisting of three individuals and two corporations. The KPK has also imposed a travel ban on four individuals related to this case, including Rudy Tanoe, DNR Logistics Operational Director for 2021-2024 Herry Tho, DNR Logistics President Director for 2018-2022 Kanisius Jerry Tengker, and Ministry of Social Affairs Expert Staff for Social Change and Dynamics Edi Suharto.
