KPK Investigating Rp10 Billion Deposit to Confidant of Minister of ATR/BPN
The Corruption Eradancy Commission (KPK) is currently investigating a fund flow amounting to Rp10 billion deposited to Arif Sugiyanto (ARF) on 7 September 2026. Arif is alleged to be one of the trusted associates of the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Nusron Wahid.
KPK Spokesperson, Budi Prasetyo, revealed that investigators are still tracing the origin of the funds. “We are still deepening our investigation into which party this originated from,” Budi stated at the KPK Red and White Building, Jakarta, on Thursday (17/9/2026).
Budi explained that Arif Sugiyanto, who is also the former Regent of Kebumen, is included in the second cluster of the investigation. He is suspected of involvement in receiving money related to rotations, promotions, or mutations of positions, as well as land services within the Ministry of ATR/BPN.
However, the KPK is not yet willing to detail the specific positions that are the objects of these alleged corrupt practices. “We will provide an update later,” Budi added.
The case originated from a sting operation (OTT) conducted by the KPK in the Jabodetabek area on 14 September 2026, concerning the processing of Building Use Rights (HGB) for PT Summarecon Agung Tbk in Bogor Regency. To date, the KPK has named eight suspects.
On Thursday (17/9), KPK investigative teams conducted searches in several strategic rooms within the Ministry of ATR/BPN. The searched offices included those of the Director General of Lampri, and the Director General of Land Survey, Mapping and Spatial Planning (SPPR), Virgo Eresta Jaya, as well as the Director General of Rights Determination and Land Registration (PHPT), Asnaedi.
While searching the offices of the directors-general and relevant directorates to find additional evidence, the KPK emphasised that they did not conduct searches in the office of the Minister of ATR/BPN, Nusron Wahid.
The KPK has seized documents and electronic evidence from the offices of the three Directors-General of the Ministry of ATR/BPN related to the PT Summarecon Agung Tbk HGB bribery case.
Golkar Party Vice Chairman Ahmad Doli Kurnia responded to the KPK’s allegations regarding the involvement of Nusron Wahid’s “trusted associate” in the bribery case within the Ministry of ATR/BPN.
He suggested that the searches conducted by the KPK this Thursday represent the beginning of further searches related to the alleged bribery case within the Ministry of ATR/BPN’s environment.
