Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned four witnesses in Central Java to investigate an alleged corruption case related to a tax refund application within the Banjarmasin Medium Tax Office (KPP Madya Banjarmasin), South Kalimantan.

“The examination of the four witnesses took place at the Central Java Provincial Financial and Development Supervisory Agency Representative Office,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Friday.

Budi explained that the four witnesses are private individuals with the initials TAS, MYS, BMP, and WA.

Previously, on 4 February 2026, the Corruption Eradication Commission conducted a sting operation (OTT) within the Banjarmasin Medium Tax Office.

The following day, the KPK named Mulyono (MLY), a tax employee at the Banjarmasin Medium Tax Office, Dian Jaya Demega (DJD), and the Financial Manager of PT Buana Karya Bhakti, Venasius Jenarus Genggor (VNZ), as suspects.

The company submitted a VAT refund claim for the 2024 tax year with an overpayment status.

The tax office’s examination results showed an overpayment value of Rp49.47 billion with a fiscal correction of Rp1.14 billion, resulting in a submitted refund amount of Rp48.3 billion.
