The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has revealed that the procurement of interactive digital whiteboards (smartboards) is one of the procurements being investigated in the alleged corruption case at the Bogor Regency Education Office.

“One of them is the procurement of ‘smartboards’ or ‘interactive flat panels’,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the KPK’s Red and White Building in Jakarta on Monday.

Budi said investigators are also still looking into other goods and services procurement within the Bogor Regency Education Office.

“Of course, investigators are still examining and tracing other procurements within the Education Office,” he said.

The KPK previously searched the Bogor Regency Education Office on Friday (28/8) and secured a number of documents related to goods and services procurement.

The documents are now being examined by investigators to trace procurements related to the case, including the procurement of “smartboards” or “interactive flat panels” (IFP).

The KPK is currently conducting an investigation into alleged corruption related to goods and services procurement at the Bogor Regency Education Office using a general investigation warrant.

In this investigation, the KPK has not yet named any party as a suspect.

In addition to the procurement case at the Education Office, the KPK is also investigating alleged receipt of money by state officials within the Bogor Regency Government.

The receipt of money is suspected to have originated from deductions of regional tax collection incentives and regional levies at the Bogor Regency Regional Revenue Management Agency (Bappenda).

The KPK previously secured approximately Rp1.5 billion in cash during the investigation of the case.

On Thursday (27/8), the KPK searched the offices of Bappenda and the Bogor Regency Civil Service and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM).
