The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has not ruled out charging other parties in the outsourcing procurement case that has ensnared Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq. The KPK is investigating alleged involvement of Fadia’s husband and son in the case.

In the case, the company founded by Fadia, PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya (RNB), was used for outsourcing procurement. Fadia’s husband, Mukhtaruddin Ashraff Abu, who is also a member of the Golkar faction in the House of Representatives (DPR RI), and Fadia’s son, Muhammad Sabuq Ashraff, who is also a member of Pekalongan Regency DPRD, were connected with PT RNB.

Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK, Asep Guntur Rahayu, explained that preliminary investigations indicate Ashraff Abu’s involvement remains passive. Nevertheless, investigators will continue to probe Ashraff.

‘So far, her husband has been passive. This is what we have obtained in the initial 24 hours,’ Asep said at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building, South Jakarta, quoted on Thursday 5 March 2026.

Asep noted that the information available remains at an early stage, as it was obtained just after the anti-corruption operation. Therefore, the KPK requires additional witness statements to investigate any orders or direct involvement by Fadia’s husband. ‘We hope this information can be examined further and provided by the witnesses,’ Asep said.

He added that investigators are always open to developing the case as investigations proceed. The period from 2023 to 2026 saw transactions into PT RNB amounting to Rp46 billion, sourced from contracts with regional devices in the Pekalongan Regency government. However, the portion used to pay outsourcing employees’ salaries was only Rp22 billion. The remainder is suspected to have been enjoyed and distributed to the regent’s family. The KPK detailed that of around Rp19 billion believed to have been distributed to the family, Fadia received Rp5.5 billion.
