KPK Investigates Customs Officials' Assignments
The Corruption Eradability Commission (KPK) is deepening its investigation into the assignment of employees within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise of the Ministry of Finance during the examination of the Ministry’s Director of Customs Facilities, Susila Brata.
Susila Brata was previously questioned as a witness in the investigation of alleged corruption within the Customs and Excise environment this Monday.
“Investigators requested information from the witness regarding the assignment of employees within their working unit,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Monday.
Additionally, Budi stated that the KPK is examining Susila to further understand the primary duties and functions of the Director of Customs Facilities at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise.
Budi also noted that the KPK has rescheduled the examination of witnesses JM and BT, representing the private sector, as they failed to attend the summons this Monday.
“Witnesses JM and BT confirmed they could not attend the examination today. Investigators will reschedule their examination,” he said.
On 21 July 2026, the KPK announced the development of the case through the issuance of two investigation orders.
As of 26 August 2026, several individuals have been named as suspects in the case, namely:
Head of the West Sumatra Regional Customs Office, Rizal
Head of the Customs Intelligence Sub-directorate, Sisprian Subiaksono
Head of Enforcement Section II of Customs, Orlando Hamonangan
Owner of Blueray Cargo, John Field
Operational Manager of Blueray Cargo, Dedy Kurniawan
Head of the Import Documentation Team of Blueray Cargo, Andri
Head of Customs Intelligence Section, Budiman Bayu Prasojo
Head of the Kediri Customs Office, Gatot Heroe Hernanda.
