KPK Investigates Companies' Role in Muara Enim Bribery Case
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is deepening its investigation into the alleged involvement of PT HIT International and PT Millenium Solusi Abadi in a bribery case within the Muara Enim Regency Government, South Sumatra. KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that investigators questioned the Director of PT HIT International, identified by the initials HRJ, and the Commissioner of PT Millenium Solusi Abadi, identified as DAN, as witnesses on Tuesday. “Both witnesses were present. During the examination, investigators explored the alleged involvement of the two companies in the procurement of smartboards at the Muara Enim Education and Culture Office,” Budi said. The investigation aims to uncover potential misconduct in the procurement process, including price inflation and quality degradation of the goods.
This development follows a series of sting operations (OTT) by the KPK. On 7–8 June 2026, the anti-graft agency arrested 10 individuals, including the now-inactive Muara Enim Regent, Edison. In that 12th OTT of the year, Edison, along with the Secretary of the Education and Culture Office Abi Nurwardani, PT Millenium Solusi Abadi marketing employee Cory Erin Hardi, and Edison’s nephew Adi Triyadi, were named suspects. A subsequent OTT on 10 June 2026 led to the arrest of five auditors from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).
On 11 June 2026, the KPK named five suspects for allegedly bribing BPK auditors to condition the audit findings for the Muara Enim Regency’s 2025 fiscal year budget. The suspects include Edison, Cory Erin Hardi, PT Millenium Solusi Abadi Director Fika, private sector figure and former expert staff to a House of Representatives member Augusz Dewanggara, and BPK auditor Titin Rita Lestari, who previously served as the Head of the BPK Audit Team for the South Sumatra Representative Office.
