According to Budi, the material from the examination of the Chairman of the Pati DPRD, which was conducted on 24 February 2026, will continue to be investigated by KPK investigators. “This will certainly also be material that will be further investigated by the investigators,” he said. Previously, on 19 January 2026, the KPK confirmed that it had conducted an operation to catch people in the act of committing a crime (OTT) in Pati Regency, and arrested the Regent of Pati, Sudewo. On 20 January 2026, the KPK brought Sudewo, along with seven other people, to the Merah Putih Building of the KPK in Jakarta. On the same date, the KPK announced four suspects in the case of alleged corruption related to extortion in the filling of village official positions within the Pati Regency Government. They are the Regent of Pati, Sudewo (SDW); the Head of Karangrowo Village, Jakenan District, Abdul Suyono (YON); the Head of Arumanis Village, Jaken District, Sumarjiono (JION); and the Head of Sukorukun Village, Jaken District, Karjan (JAN). In addition, the KPK announced that Sudewo is a suspect in the case of alleged bribery related to the construction and maintenance of railway lines within the Directorate General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation.
