KPK Investigates Chain of Command in Alleged ATR/BPN Bribery Case
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is tracing the chain of command related to the alleged receipt of bribes in a corruption case within the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN).
“We are also investigating the flow of orders, to see if there were other parties who issued instructions that subsequently formed the construction of this case,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the KPK Red and White Building, Jakarta, on Wednesday.
According to Budi, the KPK is investigating this because the Head of the Bogor I Regency Land Office, Sontang Coin Manurung, had reportedly stated he would process requests from PT Summarecon Agung Tbk, the alleged bribe giver, if there were orders from his superiors.
“SON (Sontang), as the Head of the Bogor Land Office, allegedly previously stated that he would proceed with unblocking lands managed by Summarecon if instructed by his superiors,” he said.
Additionally, he stated that the KPK is currently tracing the money trail in this case.
“Whether it stops with these individuals (the suspects) or flows to other parties? We will certainly conduct a ‘follow the money’ approach. We will follow the money trail wherever it leads,” he added.
Previously, the KPK conducted a sting operation (OTT) in the Jabodetabek area on 14 September 2026. This operation was related to alleged corruption in the processing of Building Use Rights (HGB) for PT Summarecon Agung Tbk in Bogor Regency, West Java.
A day later, the KPK named eight individuals as suspects in the alleged bribery case within the Ministry of ATR/BPN.
The suspects include the Director General of Land and Spatial Control and Enforcement at the Ministry of ATR/BPN, Lampri; the Head of the Bogor I Regency Land Office, Sontang Coin Manurung; the President Director of PT Summarecon Agung Tbk, Adrianto Pitojo Adhi; and Rizal Pahlevi, representing the private sector or as an intermediary for Summarecon.
Other suspects include the former Regent of Kebumen, Arif Sugiyanto; the Chairman of the Golkar Party DPP, Fahd El Fouz, also known as Fahd Arafiq; and private individuals named Erwin and Muhammad Fakhry. The latter four are allegedly close associates of the Minister of ATR/BPN, Nusron Wahid.
