KPK Investigates Appointment Process of Suspects in Alleged K3 Certificate Extortion Case

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the appointment process of the suspects in the alleged extortion case related to the processing of K3 (Occupational Safety and Health) certificates at the Ministry of Manpower.

The KPK investigated this matter during the questioning of the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Manpower, Cris Kuntadi, and several other witnesses on Wednesday (25/2/2026).

“All witnesses were present. Investigators requested information regarding the appointments of the suspects in this case,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in a statement on Wednesday (25/2/2026).

However, Budi did not provide details on the answers given by the four witnesses during today’s questioning.

The KPK has named three new suspects in the extortion case related to the processing of K3 certificates, which also implicates former Deputy Minister of Manpower, Immanuel Ebenezer, also known as Noel.

Budi stated that the three suspects, namely CFH, HR, and SMS, have also been barred from traveling abroad.

“A travel ban has been imposed on CFH, HR, and SMS,” he said.

Based on information gathered, the three new suspects are Chairul Fadly Harahap, who serves as the Secretary of the Directorate General of Supervision and Occupational Safety and Health (Binwasnaker and K3) at the Ministry of Manpower.

Then there is Haiyani Rumondang, who serves as the Director General of Supervision and Occupational Safety and Health, and Sunardi Manampiar Sinaga, who serves as the Head of the Public Relations Bureau at the Ministry of Manpower.
