Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is deepening its investigation into alleged corruption related to goods and services procurement at the Bogor Regency Education Office (Disdik).

“Up to now, investigators are still focused on deepening the probe into goods and services procurement within the Bogor Regency Education Office,” KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told journalists in Jakarta on Friday.

He said KPK investigators therefore conducted a search of the Bogor Regency Education Office on Friday (28/8).

“The search was carried out in order to seek and find relevant evidence and leads related to the alleged criminal act of corruption in goods and services procurement within the Bogor Regency Education Office,” he said.

He made the statement in response to journalists’ questions about whether the alleged procurement corruption in the Bogor Regency government occurred only at the Education Office or also at other agencies.

Previously, information circulated about a sting operation (OTT) conducted by the KPK in Bogor Regency on 20 August 2026.

However, on 21 August 2026, the KPK acknowledged it had secured evidence in the form of Rp1.5 billion in cash in an investigation into alleged corruption within the Bogor Regency government, West Java.

The investigation was subsequently elevated to the inquiry stage through the issuance of a general investigation warrant (sprindik) related to alleged receipt of money by state officials in the Bogor Regency government.

The receipt of money was allegedly derived from deductions of collection fees at the Bogor Regency Regional Revenue Management Agency (Bappenda).

In addition to that case, the KPK also revealed it is conducting an investigation into alleged corruption related to goods and services procurement within the Bogor Regency government.

In the investigation under the general warrant, the KPK has not yet named any party as a suspect.

On 27 August 2026, the KPK searched Bappenda and the Bogor Regency Civil Service and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM). A day later, the KPK searched the Bogor Regency Education Office.
