KPK Investigates Allegations Bengkulu City Officials Received Cars and Apartments from Projects

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has examined Eno Bowo Susilo (EBS), a private party, in connection with the discovery of Rp 4 billion in cash at the home of Noprisman (NOP), Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Department of Bengkulu City. From this examination, the KPK suspects that gifts were given by private parties to a number of officials in the Bengkulu City Government.

This examination is an extension of the KPK’s investigation into a corruption case involving the inactive Regent of Rejang Lebong, M Fikri Thobari. The KPK stated that the gifts from private parties to several Bengkulu City Government officials took the form of luxury cars, luxury apartments, and luxury houses.

“Investigators are looking into the alleged provision of a number of assets by Mr EBS to officials in Bengkulu City, including luxury cars, luxury apartments, and luxury houses,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists on Wednesday (26/8/2026).

Budi said investigators would examine the purpose of the gifts from EBS. It is suspected that the gifts are related to project work in Bengkulu City.

“Investigators will certainly look into the connection with the execution of projects in Bengkulu City,” said Budi.

It is known that in July, the KPK searched Noprisman’s house for nine hours. The search, which began at 9.00 pm Western Indonesia Time, was conducted under tight security with fully armed police officers.

The KPK revealed that the search was related to the development of the investigation into the alleged corruption case involving the inactive Regent of Rejang Lebong, M Fikri Thobari.

As a result of the search, the KPK found Rp 4 billion in cash. The money was found at Noprisman’s house.
