KPK Interrogates Wife of Former Ministry of Manpower Secretary-General Regarding Alleged Corruption Assets
The KPK has interrogated Ria Sudiyastuti, the wife of former Ministry of Manpower Secretary-General Heri Sudarmanto, regarding a case involving extortion in the management of the Foreign Worker Utilisation Plan (RPTKA) within the Ministry. The KPK is questioning Ria regarding her husband’s assets, which are suspected to have originated from corrupt practices.
“Investigators requested testimony from the witness, as the wife of Mr HS, regarding assets related to the investigation of this case,” explained KPK spokesperson Budi Prasontyo to journalists on Thursday (1/10/2026).
This interrogation, conducted by the KPK yesterday, marks the second time Ria has been questioned by the anti-corruption agency.
The KPK continues to trace the assets belonging to the former Secretary-General, Heri Sudarmanto (HS). The agency has also interrogated Heri’s son, Rizky Junianto, who is also a civil servant at the Ministry of Manpower.
Heri Sudarmanto has been named a suspect in the case involving the extortion of foreign worker candidates at the Ministry of Manpower since October 2025, based on an investigation order. However, the KPK has not yet provided further details regarding Heri’s specific role.
The alleged corruption case at the Ministry of Manpower involves extortion during the processing of permits for foreign worker usage. The KPK suspects the case occurred between 2019 and 2023, with evidence of collected funds amounting to Rp 53 billion.
A total of eight individuals have been named as suspects in this case and have undergone trial, in addition to Heri. The eight defendants in this case are:

Putri Citra Wahyoe, RPTKA Hotline Officer 2019-2024 and RPTKA Validation Verifier at the Directorate of Foreign Worker Utilisation Control (PPTKA) 2024-2025.
Jamal Shodiqin, Administrative Analyst at the PPTKA Directorate 2019-2024 and First Expert Employment Liaison at the PPTKA Directorate 2024-2025.
Alfa Eshad, Junior Expert Employment Liaison at the Ministry of Manpower 2018-2025.
Suhartono, Director General of Manpower Placement and Employment Opportunity Expansion (Binapenta and PKK) at the Ministry of Manpower 2020-2023.
Haryanto, Director of PPTKA 2019-2024, also Director General of Binapenta and PKK 2024-2025, currently serving as Ministerial Expert Staff for International Relations.
Wisnu Pramono, Director of PPTKA 2017-2019.
Devi Angraeni, Director of PPTKA 2024-2025.
