KPK Interrogates Acting Regent of Pati Over Campaign Team Composition During Regional Elections

Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has questioned Risma Ardhi Chandra (RSM), the acting Regent of Pati, as a witness to explain the composition of the campaign team during the 2024 Regional Elections, in which she ran alongside the incumbent Regent of Pati, Sudewo (SDW). “She is being questioned to explain the composition of Sudewo-Risma’s campaign team in the Pati Regency Regional Elections, as well as other matters related to the process,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta on Tuesday (24 February). In addition, Budi said that the KPK is investigating the role of the “Team of Eight,” formed by Sudewo, in relation to Risma and the Chairman of the Pati General Election Commission, Supriyanto (SUP), in the investigation of the alleged extortion case within the Pati Regency Government in Central Java, which occurred on 24 February 2026. “From the KPU and also the Acting Regent of Pati, investigators are also investigating the roles of this Team of Eight in the regional head elections at that time,” he said. Previously, on 19 January 2026, the KPK confirmed that it had conducted an operation to catch red-handed (OTT) in Pati Regency, and arrested the Regent of Pati, Sudewo. On 20 January 2026, the KPK brought Sudewo, along with seven other people, to the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta. On the same date, the KPK announced four suspects in the alleged corruption case related to extortion in the filling of village official positions within the Pati Regency Government. They are the Regent of Pati, Sudewo (SDW); the Head of Karangrowo Village, Jakenan District, Abdul Suyono (YON); the Head of Arumanis Village, Jaken District, Sumarjiono (JION); and the Head of Sukorukun Village, Jaken District, Karjan (JAN). In addition, the KPK announced that Sudewo is a suspect in the alleged bribery case related to the construction and maintenance of railway lines within the Directorate General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation.
