KPK interrogated Bengkulu Regional Councillor twice before seizing two assets

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has interrogated Bengkulu City Regional Councillor Vinna Ledy Anggraheni on two separate occasions prior to seizing two of the legislator’s assets.

“Investigators previously conducted examinations of VLA in her capacity as a witness. The examinations took place on 4 and 10 August 2026 at the KPK Merah Putih Building, Jakarta,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Budi stated that investigators are deepening their investigation into Vinna Ledy’s knowledge regarding several procurement projects in Bengkulu City.

“The witness’s statements will, of course, be reviewed, analysed, and confirmed against the statements of other witnesses, including findings from searches, to assist investigators in constructing a complete case,” he added.

One of the suspects in the alleged bribery case involving projects within the Rejang Lebong Regency Government is the Regent of Rejang Lebong, Muhammad Fikri Thobari.

The KPK subsequently announced the expansion of the investigation into the case on 20 July 2026. However, at that time, the KPK had not yet named any suspects in the expanded investigation.

On 26 July 2026, the KPK conducted searches at several locations in Bengkulu City, including the offices and residences of private parties involved in medical equipment and waste management, as well as the residence of the Head of the Bengkulu City Public Works and Spatial Planning Office, Noprisman.

The KPK stated that these searches were related to the investigation of alleged corruption involving state officials or authorities within the Bengkulu City Government.

Furthermore, the KPK seized a vehicle belonging to Vinna Ledy in South Jakarta on 10 August 2026. The commission subsequently seized a house owned by Vinna Ledy, located in South Jakarta, on 31 August 2026.
