KPK Inaugurates Six Senior Officials, Former Spokesperson Appointed Director of Investigation

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) inaugurated a number of senior officials in high leadership positions on Friday. A total of six officials were sworn in, including former KPK spokesperson Tessa Mahardika, who has been appointed Director of Investigation.

The inauguration was held at the Juang Hall in the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Friday (20 February 2026). The ceremony was led by KPK Secretary General Cahya H Harefa.

The inauguration commenced at 10:10 Western Indonesian Time. The proceedings began with the reading of oaths by the six officials being inaugurated, led by Cahya H Harefa.

“I believe that you will all carry out your duties to the best of your abilities in accordance with the responsibilities entrusted to you. May God Almighty be with us,” Cahya said during the ceremony.

Following the oath-taking, the newly inaugurated officials read out an integrity pact, the contents of which were as follows:

  1. A commitment to uphold personal honour and dignity as well as the standing of the Corruption Eradication Commission in every action and attitude, both within and outside official duties.

  2. A commitment to serve as a role model for subordinates, colleagues and the public by upholding discipline, honesty and professionalism.

  3. A commitment to maintain a simple lifestyle and avoid excessive living standards inconsistent with propriety norms expected of public servants.

  4. A commitment to avoid all forms of conflict of interest, to refrain from abusing one’s position and authority, and to reject gratification in any form.

  5. A willingness to be held accountable for any breach of these commitments and to accept moral, ethical, disciplinary and/or criminal sanctions in accordance with prevailing laws and regulations.

Following the oath and integrity pact, the inaugurated officials signed the official record. The six officials sworn in were:

  1. Kunto Ariawan as Director of Community Development and Participation at the KPK
  2. Tessa Mahardika Sugiarto as Director of Investigation
  3. Maruli Tua as Director of Coordination and Supervision for Region V
  4. Iskandar Marwanto as Head of the Legal Bureau
  5. Taryanto as Director of Corruption Detection and Analysis
  6. Budhi Sarumpaet as Director of Prosecution
