KPK Imprisons Noel Ebenezer in Sukamiskin Prison
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has imprisoned former Indonesian Deputy Minister of Manpower Immanuel Ebenezer at Sukamiskin Penitentiary in Bandung, West Java. Noel will serve a sentence of 4 years and 6 months in prison for bribery and receiving gratuities related to the handling of Occupational Health and Safety (K3) certification.
“So, today, the corporal punishment for the 11 convicts in the K3 case has been executed at Sukamiskin. The 11 convicts are divided into four case files,” said Mungki Hadipratikto, Director of Asset Tracking, Evidence Management, and Execution (Labuksi) at the KPK, at the KPK’s Confiscated Objects and Looted Assets Storage House (Rupbasan) in Cawang, East Jakarta, on Wednesday (24/6).
In addition to the prison sentence, Noel was also ordered to pay a fine of Rp200 million, subsidiary to 90 days of confinement, and a replacement payment of Rp3.435 billion, subsidiary to 1 year in prison.
Besides Noel, there are 10 other individuals from the Ministry of Manpower and the private sector who were also found guilty by the panel of judges at the Corruption Court (Tipikor) at the Central Jakarta District Court (PN). They were also imprisoned by the KPK to serve their criminal sentences.
“So, today the execution of the corporal punishment has been carried out,” said Mungki.
The complete details of the verdicts for the defendants (now convicts) in this case are as follows:
Former Deputy Minister of Manpower Immanuel Ebenezer, sentenced to 4.5 years in prison, a fine of Rp200 million subsidiary to 90 days of confinement, and a replacement payment of Rp3.435 billion subsidiary to 1 year in prison.
Irvian Bobby Mahendro, sentenced to 6 years in prison, a fine of Rp200 million subsidiary to 90 days of confinement, and a replacement payment of Rp36.04 billion subsidiary to 3 years of confinement.
Fahrurozi, Director General of Labour Inspection and K3 as of March 2025, sentenced to 4 years in prison, a fine of Rp200 million subsidiary to 90 days of confinement, and a replacement payment of Rp35 million subsidiary to 1 year of confinement.
Hery Sutanto, Director of Institutional Development from 2021 to February 2025, sentenced to 6.5 years in prison, a fine of Rp200 million subsidiary to 90 days of confinement, and a replacement payment of Rp7.591 billion subsidiary to 2 years of confinement.
Subhan, Sub-coordinator of Work Safety at the Directorate of K3 Development from 2020-2025, sentenced to 4.5 years in prison, a fine of Rp200 million subsidiary to 90 days of confinement, and a replacement payment of Rp1.948 billion subsidiary to 1 year of confinement.
Gerry Aditya Herwanto Putra, Coordinator of the Work Safety Competency Testing and Evaluation Division in 2022, sentenced to 4.5 years in prison, a fine of Rp200 million subsidiary to 90 days of confinement, and a replacement payment of Rp828.5 million subsidiary to 1 year.
Sekarsari Kartika Putri, Sub-coordinator of the K3 Institutional Development Division at the Directorate General of Labour Inspection and K3, sentenced to 4.5 years in prison.
Anitasari Kusumawati, Sub-coordinator of Partnership and Occupational Health Personnel in 2020, sentenced to 4.5 years in prison, a fine of Rp200 million subsidiary to 90 days of confinement, and a replacement payment of Rp1.35 billion subsidiary to 1 year of confinement.
Supriadi, Junior Expert Labour Inspector as Sub-coordinator of the K3 Personnel Empowerment Division at the Directorate General of Labour Inspection and K3, sentenced to 4.5 years in prison, a fine of Rp200 million subsidiary to 90 days of confinement, and a replacement payment of Rp3 billion subsidiary to 1 year of confinement.
Temurila, a businessman from PT KEM, sentenced to 1.5 years, a fine of Rp200 million subsidiary to 90 days of confinement.
Miki Mahfud, a businessman from PT KEM, sentenced to 1.5 years, a fine of Rp200 million subsidiary to 90 days of confinement.
