Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) says it has named suspects in the arrest operation (OTT) that entangled Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq. KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo explained that the legal status of the individuals detained was set after investigators held an exposé on Tuesday night (3 March). ‘KPK has established the legal status of those detained within 24 hours,’ he told journalists in Jakarta on Wednesday. However, Budi said KPK cannot yet disclose in detail the chronology or the identities of those named as suspects. Full information on the construction of the case and the parties involved will be provided in an official KPK press conference. ‘For chronology, construction, and the suspects named, we will provide the full details through a press conference,’ he said. To date, KPK has not confirmed when the press conference will be held. Earlier, on 3 March 2026, KPK announced it had carried out an OTT during Ramadan, the seventh OTT of 2026. In the operation, investigators arrested Fadia Arafiq alongside her aides and trusted associates in the Semarang area, Central Java. In addition, KPK secured 11 other individuals from Pekalongan Regency. One of those arrested was Pekalongan Regional Secretary Mohammad Yulian Akbar. KPK disclosed that the operation relates to suspected corruption in the procurement of outsourcing personnel at several departments within the Pekalongan Regency Government. Investigators are still examining the case to fully uncover the roles of the parties involved. (Ant/E-3) KPK sealed several offices within the Pekalongan Regency Government following the arrest operation against Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq.
