KPK Has Named Suspects Following Arrest Operation Targeting Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq
Jakarta — The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said it has named suspects following an arrest operation (OTT) targeting Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq. ‘KPK has already determined the legal status of the persons detained within 1x24 hours,’ KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo told reporters in Jakarta on Wednesday, 4 March 2026. He explained that the designation was made after the KPK held a case-exposure briefing on the evening of Tuesday, 3 March 2026, and after the case had moved to the investigative stage. ‘As for the chronology, the construction, and the individuals who have been named as suspects, we will provide in full via a press conference,’ he said. However, he could not yet say when the press conference would be held. Earlier on 3 March 2026, KPK announced that it had conducted a sequence of arrest operations during Ramadan, the seventh OTT this year. KPK said it arrested Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq together with an aide and trusted confidants in the Semarang area, Central Java. Subsequently, KPK announced the arrest of 11 other people from Pekalongan, Central Java. One of those arrested was Pekalongan Regional Secretary Mohammad Yulian Akbar. Meanwhile, KPK said the OTT arrest of Fadia Arafiq related to the procurement of outsourcing or labour outsourcing at several departments within Pekalongan Regency Government.
