KPK Hands Over Rp 3.8 Billion in Corruption Confiscations to Public Works Ministry for Toll Road Projects
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has handed over assets seized in corruption cases valued at Rp 3.88 billion to the Ministry of Public Works (PU).
Prosecutor Feby Dwiyandospensy from the KPK’s Management of Evidence and Execution Unit (Labuksi) stated that these assets have been utilised as an exit access for the Yogyakarta–Kulonprogo Toll Road.
Additionally, similar assets seized along the Probolinggo–Banyuwangi route have been integrated into toll road development and thus transferred to the Ministry of PU.
“Last year, these seized assets were proposed for auction. However, the auction process was cancelled by the Yogyakarta State Assets and Auction Agency (KPKNL) due to a land blockade from the Ministry of PU, which declared the location as part of the National Strategic Project (PSN) for toll roads. With this status, the assets cannot be auctioned at any time and must be handed over to the government through the Ministry of PU,” Feby said in a written statement on Sunday (12/4/2026).
She explained that the assets related to Tagop consist of three plots of land along with their buildings, all located in Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta.
These assets include one plot of land measuring 52 m² in Caturnunggal Village, Depok Subdistrict, as well as two plots measuring 3 m² and 139 m² in Sinduadi Village, Mlati Subdistrict. The total value of Tagop’s assets amounts to Rp 3,421,373,000.
“Meanwhile, the assets of Puput and her husband Hasan consist of one plot of land located in Kedungcaluk Village, Krejengan Subdistrict, Probolinggo Regency, East Java Province, valued at Rp 465,932,000,” she added.
In the case, Tagop is alleged to have unilaterally determined project winners at the South Buru Regency Public Works and Public Housing Department (PUPR) by demanding fees of 7 to 10 percent of the contract value.
“This practice is estimated to have generated receipts of around Rp 10 billion. Additionally, Tagop is also suspected of disguising the proceeds of crime by purchasing several assets in the names of other parties to conceal the origin of funds from contractors,” she stated.
Meanwhile, Puput Tantriana Sari and her husband, Hasan Aminuddin, were arrested by the KPK through a hand-catching operation (OTT) on 30 August 2021.
“The two are suspected of being involved in bribery practices related to the sale and purchase of positions within the Probolinggo Regency Government in 2019,” she said.
