KPK Hands Over Case Files of PT Blueray Boss to Public Prosecutor
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has completed the investigation into the alleged bribery case involving the owner of PT Blueray, named John Field, and associates. The case files have been handed over by the investigators to the Public Prosecutor (JPU). “Today, the investigators handed over the suspects, case files, and evidence to the KPK Public Prosecutor for three suspects as the bribe givers in the Customs case,” stated KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in a written statement on Thursday (2/4). Besides John Field, the other two suspects are Andri, the Head of the Import Documents Team at PT Blueray, and Dedy Kurniawan, the Operational Manager of PT Blueray. “Next, the JPU will prepare the indictment files for a period of up to 14 days ahead,” said Budi. The three suspects are charged under Article 605 paragraphs 1 a and b and Article 606 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code (KUHP). They are alleged to have bribed several parties at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, such as former Director of Investigation and Enforcement of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise for the period 2024-January 2026, Rizal; Head of the Subdirectorate of Enforcement Intelligence and Investigation of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (Kasubdit Intel P2 DJBC) Sisprian Subiaksono; Head of the Intelligence Section of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (Kasi Intel DJBC) Orlando; and employee of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, Budiman Bayu Prasojo. Rizal, Sisprian, and Orlando are charged with violating Article 12 letters a and b of the Anti-Corruption Law (UU Tipikor) as well as Article 605 paragraph 2 and Article 606 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Articles 20 and 21 of the Criminal Code (KUHP). They are also charged with violating Article 12 B of the UU Tipikor in conjunction with Articles 20 and 21 of the KUHP. As for Budiman Bayu Prasojo, he is charged with violating Article 12 B of the UU Tipikor in conjunction with Article 20 letter c of the KUHP.
