KPK: Hand-Over Operation Involving Regent and Vice Regent of Rejang Lebong, Bengkulu Related to Project Bribery
Jakarta — The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) stated that a hand-over operation (OTT) ensnaring Rejang Lebong Regent Muhammad Fikri Thobari and Vice Regent Hendri is related to alleged project bribery.
“In this hand-over operation, it is suspected to be related to project bribery within the Rejang Lebong Regional Government,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the Red and White Building in Jakarta on Tuesday (10 March 2026).
Budi stated that in the OTT, the KPK arrested 13 individuals, including Rejang Lebong Regent Muhammad Fikri Thobari and Vice Regent Rejang Lebong Hendri.
Of this number, the KPK brought nine individuals to Jakarta for further investigation.
“They have already arrived at the KPK Red and White Building,” he said.
Additionally, the KPK also secured evidence including cash, documents, and electronic evidence.
The KPK conducted this OTT on Monday (9 March 2026) evening.
