KPK facilitates Eid al-Adha prayers for 52 detainees in 1447 Hijri

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has facilitated Eid al-Adha prayers for 52 detainees in 1447 Hijri. “To commemorate Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijri, the KPK facilitated Muslim detainees’ prayers at the Al-Ikhlas Mosque in the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta,” said spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Tuesday. Budi explained that the KPK provided this facility to uphold detainees’ basic rights, including the freedom to practice their religion. “Therefore, religious observances are routinely facilitated while maintaining the prison’s established regulations,” he added. Additionally, Budi stated that the KPK facilitates family and relative visits for detainees at the anti-corruption agency. Family and relative visits for detainees are scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 27 May 2026, from 10:00 to 13:00 WIB. He explained that the facility is not only for the families and relatives of the 52 detainees but also for another ten non-Muslim detainees. The ten detainees comprise five Protestants, two Catholics, two Buddhists, and one Hindu.
