KPK Facilitates 52 Detainees for Eid al-Adha Prayers and Family Visits

JAKARTA — The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has facilitated 52 detainees across two KPK detention facilities to observe Eid al-Adha on Wednesday, 27 May 2026. The KPK stated that 52 Muslim detainees will perform prayers at the Masjid Al-Ikhlas in the KPK’s Merah Putih Building. “This facilitation is a demonstration of fulfilling the basic rights of detainees, including the ability to practice their religion and beliefs,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in a statement on Tuesday, 26 May 2026. Other detainees include five Christians, two Catholics, two Buddhists, and one Hindu. Additionally, family and relative visitation activities for detainees are scheduled for Wednesday, 27 May 2026, from 10:00 to 13:00 WIB. “Therefore, regular religious observances are facilitated while adhering to the established regulations within the detention facility,” he added.
