KPK examines two witnesses in alleged customs corruption case

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) examined two witnesses on Thursday in a case of alleged corruption within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise at the Ministry of Finance.

KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said in Jakarta that the two witnesses are a civil servant at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise and an employee of PT Blueray Cargo.

“The examination took place at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building in Jakarta, in the names of MAR, who served as Head of Excise Enforcement Section I for the period January 2024 to March 2026, and YOH, an employee of Blueray Cargo,” said Budi.

According to KPK records, both witnesses complied with the investigators’ summons. MAR arrived at the KPK Merah Putih Building at 08.39 WIB, while YOH arrived at 09.59 WIB.

The KPK previously conducted a sting operation within Customs and Excise and named several individuals as suspects.

In addition, the KPK named Sisprian Subiaksono, Head of the Customs and Excise Intelligence Sub-Directorate for Enforcement and Investigation, and Orlando Hamonangan, Head of the Customs and Excise Intelligence Section, as suspects.

The KPK also named Blueray Cargo owner John Field, Blueray Cargo Import Documentation Team Leader Andri, and Blueray Cargo Operational Manager Dedy Kurniawan as suspects.

On 26 February 2026, the KPK again named Budiman Bayu Prasojo, Head of the Customs Intelligence Section at the Directorate of Enforcement and Investigation, as a suspect.

In one of the investigation warrants, the KPK named a suspect whose identity has not yet been disclosed to the public. Meanwhile, another investigation warrant remains general in nature and has not yet named a suspect.

A day later, the KPK confirmed John Field’s statement that the suspect is Gatot Heroe Hernanda, Head of the Kediri Customs Office.
