KPK Examines Two Customs and Excise Civil Servants in Import Corruption Case Development

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has examined two civil servants from the Directorate General of Customs and Excise in the development of an import corruption case at the Ministry of Finance’s Directorate General of Customs and Excise. Both were questioned as witnesses.

KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told journalists on Wednesday (19/8/2026) that the witnesses were being examined in the development of an investigation into alleged corruption related to customs and excise at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC).

The two customs and excise civil servants examined were Aditya Rachman Rony Putra, an examiner at the Customs and Excise Head Office, and Yanuar Calliandra, Head of General Affairs at the Customs and Excise Secretariat General. Budi said the examination was conducted at the KPK’s Merah Putih building.

In this case at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, the KPK has carried out further development. As a result, the KPK named one new suspect, Gatot Heroe, who served as Head of Supervision and Service for the Kediri Customs Region.

Gatot Heroe’s suspect status was initially disclosed by John Field after being examined by investigators. John Field’s statement was later confirmed by Acting Director of Investigation at the KPK Achmad Taufik Husein.

Achmad Taufik Husein said on Wednesday (22/7) that if John Field had conveyed the information, then it was correct that an investigation order had been issued against Gatot Heroe.

The development of this case by the KPK was marked by the issuance of two new investigation orders. One investigation order already has a named suspect, Gatot Heroe, while the other investigation order has not yet identified any party as a suspect.
