KPK examines two Bank Indonesia officials regarding PSBI payment applications
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission states that the examination of two Bank Indonesia officials on Thursday, 16 April 2026, concerns the submission of payments for the Bank Indonesia Social Programme (PSBI). The two officials are Irwan, Deputy Director in the BI Legal Department, and Nita Ariastuti Muelgini, Head of Group in the Asset Management Department of the BI Office. Both were examined as witnesses in the alleged corruption case regarding the distribution of corporate social and environmental responsibility (CSR) funds by Bank Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority. “The witnesses were asked for information regarding their knowledge of PSBI payment submissions to foundations/social institutions related to the suspects,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Friday. The suspects in the case are Satori and Heri Gunawan, who currently serve as members of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) for the 2024–2029 period. Currently, the KPK is still investigating the alleged corruption in the distribution of CSR funds or the alleged corruption in the use of Bank Indonesia Social Programme (PSBI) and Financial Services Extension (PJK) funds for the years 2020–2023. The case stemmed from reports of analysis results from the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (PPATK) and public complaints, after which the KPK began a general investigation in December 2024. KPK investigators have searched several locations suspected of holding evidence related to the case. Some of those locations include the Bank Indonesia building on Jalan Thamrin, Central Jakarta, which was searched on 16 December 2024, and the Financial Services Authority office, which was searched on 19 December 2024. On 7 August 2025, the anti-corruption agency designated Satori (ST) and Heri Gunawan (HG), members of Commission XI of the DPR RI for the 2019–2024 period, as suspects in the case. Both are currently members of the DPR RI for the 2024–2029 period.
