KPK examines three Madiun City Government officials as witnesses in Maidi case

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned three officials from the Madiun City Government in East Java to serve as witnesses in the investigation into the alleged corruption case implicating the inactive Mayor of Madiun, Maidi.

The examination took place at the State Treasury Service Office in Surakarta, Central Java, involving SBK as Head of the National Unity and Politics Agency of Madiun City, JRO as Head of the Regional Revenue Agency of Madiun City, and NA as Head of the Communication and Informatics Service of Madiun City,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Tuesday.

In addition, Budi stated that the KPK also summoned several other witnesses, comprising SWO as former Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Service of Madiun City and former Head of the Regional Planning, Development, Research and Innovation Agency of Madiun City, RS and SBM as civil servants in the Public Works and Spatial Planning Service of Madiun City, as well as AIS, PH, AP, and SUS from the private sector.

Based on the information gathered, some of these witnesses are Subakri (SBK), Head of the National Unity and Politics Agency of Madiun City, Jariyanto (JRO), Head of the Regional Revenue Agency of Madiun City, Noor Aflah (NA), Head of the Communication and Informatics Service of Madiun City, as well as Suwarno (SWO), former Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Service of Madiun City and former Head of the Regional Planning, Development, Research and Innovation Agency of Madiun City.

Previously, on 19 January 2026, the KPK conducted a sting operation against Madiun Mayor Maidi.

On the same date, the KPK revealed the sting operation against Maidi related to kickbacks from projects and corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds in Madiun City.

On 20 January 2026, the KPK announced that three individuals had been named as suspects following the sting operation, namely Madiun Mayor Maidi (MD), Rochim Ruhdiyanto (RR) as Maidi’s trusted aide, and Thariq Megah (TM) as Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Service of Madiun City.

The KPK also announced two clusters in the alleged extortion case involving project kickbacks and CSR funds, as well as other receipts or gratuities within the Madiun City Government environment.

First, the alleged extortion involving suspects Maidi and Rochim Ruhdiyanto. Second, the alleged gratification involving suspects Maidi and Thariq Megah.
