KPK Examines Several Private Parties, Traces Assets of Former HSU Chief Prosecutor
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) examined several private witnesses in relation to the alleged extortion case carried out by the Head of the Hulu Sungai Utara District Prosecutor’s Office (Kejari HSU), Albertinus Parlinggoman Napitupulu. The examination took place at the Palu Police Resort Office on Wednesday (1/4).
“On Wednesday (1/4), investigators conducted examinations of the witnesses in the alleged criminal act of corruption involving extortion within the Hulu Sungai Utara District Prosecutor’s Office (Kejari HSU),” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in a written statement on Thursday (2/4).
The examination involved five individuals from the private sector, namely Rusdin Tjeho, Rovario Galleh Suharto, I Gede Delta Malianus, Mukli Tauhid, and Sudirman.
The investigators conducted the examination to trace the assets belonging to the suspect Albertinus Parlinggoman Napitupulu, such as land, buildings, and vehicles.
Previously, the KPK designated Albertinus, the Head of the Intelligence Section of Kejari HSU Asis Budianto, and the Head of the Civil and State Administrative Section (Datun) of Kejari HSU Tri Taruna Fariadi as suspects in the alleged extortion case. The suspects have been detained.
The suspects are charged with violating Article 12 letter e, Article 12 letter f of the Corruption Eradication Law (UU Tipikor) in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1(1) of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 64 of the Criminal Code.
After taking office as Kejari HSU in August 2025, Albertinus is alleged to have received a flow of money amounting to at least Rp804 million, either directly or through intermediaries, namely Asis and Tri Taruna as well as other parties.
The receipt of this money stemmed from Albertinus’s alleged extortion of several regional apparatus in HSU, including the Education Office, Health Office, Public Works Office (PU), and the Regional General Hospital (RSUD).
The KPK uncovered this case through a catch-and-grab operation (OTT) on 17-18 December last year.
In the ongoing process, the KPK has searched the Hulu Sungai Utara District Prosecutor’s Office, the official residence of Kejari HSU Albertinus, and the private residence of the HSU Chief Prosecutor in East Jakarta to find evidence related to the alleged extortion case being handled.
The KPK seized several documents and electronic evidence (BBE) suspected to be related to the alleged extortion case or budget cuts within the Hulu Sungai Utara District Prosecutor’s Office.
During the search of the official residence of Kejari HSU Albertinus, the KPK seized one vehicle unit registered to the Tolitoli Regency Government in Central Sulawesi.
